8 Photos of Happiness

Thank you to Chasing Dog Tales for nominating us to post 8 Photos of Happiness, created by Ariel’s Little Corner of the Internet.  It’s no secret that my family (including my greyhound) brings me the most joy and happiness.  It occurred to me, however, that you really don’t know my family.  Rather that write a long blog post, I’ll use this photo essay to show you:

family happiness

My family is the air that I breathe

…and the song that I sing.
(my daughter singing with Train in Atlantic City, NJ)

My family teaches me to laugh…

…be curious…

…and sometimes just chill.

My family keeps me grounded…

…and reminds me not to take life so seriously,

…because every once in a while, you just need to share your crazy with someone,
and it might as well be your family.

Thank you Chasing Dog Tales for tagging me.  I despise Mondays, and this post was a wonderful little pick-me-up (along with my coffee!).  I now nominate the following to participate:

A Sorta Fairy Tale
Travel Animal Doctor
Greyhounds CAN Sit
Bell Fur Zoo
Walks with Rama

Participating is easy:

  • Thank your nominator/s (that’s me!) 😉 and link them in your post
  • Link the creator (Ariel’s little corner of the internet)
  • Post your 8 photos of happiness
  • The photos can be anything that represents a moment, object, place or feeling that makes you happy
  • Pop in a brief description of the photo, why you chose it or let the photos do the talking
  • Spread the happiness and tag up to ten other bloggers!

If you’ve already participated, no problem!  I look forward to seeing your “happy”!

greyhound rosesSpring is in the air in the Pacific Northwest with Summer quickly moving in, and with it comes the dreaded “spring cleaning.”  Indoors, it’s a time for me to move the furniture around, hunt down those dust-bunnies, and deep clean.  In backyard, I see weeds that need to be pulled, patio furniture that that needs to be scrubbed with OxiClean, and concrete that needs to be power washed.  The list gets longer the more I look around.  When will I have the time, along with my day job, mom job, blog job, etc. to do all of this?  Furthermore, do I really want to do it?

Luna, on the other hand, took this past week as an opportunity to show me what life is all about.

10 Things My Greyhound Loves

greyhound lovesI like lists; they make me happy.  In this mad, mad, mad, mad world, lists bring order to chaos.  So today, I’ve made a list of things that Luna likes.  I’m sure there are plenty more that could make the list, but 10 is a nice even number, which also makes me happy.

1.  Food

Obviously, food has to be the number one thing that my greyhound loves.  Without it, she would have no reason to take a break from napping and trying to hoard several of the items from Numbers 2 through 10.
