About Me

Everyone has the capacity to achieve greatness.  As for me, my greatness comes from caring for my family and doing good works.  My “greytness”, on the other hand, comes from my adorable, yet ornery, greyhound.

I am the proud mom of four kids (five, if you count my husband :)) and one greyhound. Luna is my current greyhound.  Ruby (pictured below) was my first, and she holds a special place in my heart.  We lived on the East Coast until we picked up and moved to the Seattle area in the Summer of 2014.  I do have a full time profession which may or may not spill into this blog.  I haven’t quite figured that part out yet.

Ruby and Me

As a greyhound parent, and a pet parent in general, there comes with it the responsibility to care for your pet’s health and well-being.  If you are reading this, chances are you stumbled upon this blog because you are interested in learning more about greyhounds.  Or maybe you’re a member of my family, or a friend, and I begged and pleaded for you to read this and make sure I’m not embarrassing myself.  Either way, welcome, and thank you.

I hope that this blog will be a place where I can discuss things I’ve learned about this magnificent breed, and you will share things that you’ve learned as well.  My goal is for this to be a collaborative effort, with give and take, in a constructive way that will help us all care for and love our greyhounds a little bit better.  Some posts will be devoted to the antics of my little Luna.  Other posts will discuss various issues such as nutrition and illnesses, behavior, or general care.  Others are devoted to product reviews from companies who have asked me for my unbiased opinion about their product.

Most importantly, I hope that I can inspire your greytness by encouraging you to adopt a greyhound.  Greyhounds have many wonderful attributes, and I want to share them with you.

I am not a veterinarian, therefore, my blog is based on my life experiences and information that I have gathered through books, articles, and various websites.  I encourage you to consult with your vet if you have any questions or concerns about the health and well-being of your grey.  I love feedback, so be sure to comment on posts you like, love or hate.  If you have topic suggestions, would like Luna and I to review your product, or you want to be a featured guest writer, please use the Contact form here.
