Wordless Wednesday – Busted!

About once or twice a year, I make a treat that my kids and in-laws love:  Coconut Macaroons.  I’m not one to fuss over the recipe that calls for egg whites and is super complicated and finicky.  I do the quick and easy, three ingredient coconut macaroons, and they are scrumptious!

This year, someone else decided that she might like to try one:

Unfortunately for Luna (and fortunately for her tummy) she wasn’t fast enough, despite me pausing to snap this picture.  She came <thiiiiiis> close though, and I ended up eating the one that she might have licked.

  1. Dangerous, I Googled for 3 ingredient coconut macaroons! Thankfully I only have 1 ingredient in my pantry 🙂 But the supermarket isn’t far away! They sound yummy. I hope Luna got a taste?

  2. They look scrumptious. I’ve never tried to make them. They are my all time favorite cookie in the entire world. We have a local grocery store in town that makes the best ever – and I grab a few every time I’m in the store. I understand Luna’s attempt to grab one, I would have grabbed one too!

  3. Gosh, they look yummy! I’ve never tried to make macaroons …because I’m the worst baker in the world and figured they would be too complicated for me. Now, I’m craving them!

    • Seriously, these are so easy to make. You could make the ones with egg whites and a bunch of other ingredients, but I honestly use two bags of sweetened shredded coconut, one can of sweetened condensed milk, and a teaspoon of vanilla. Mix it up, plop onto a baking sheet with parchment paper using a scooper, and bake at 325 for about 15 to 20 minutes. It’s super dooper easy. For flair, I add mini chocolate chips, or wait until they are done and then drizzle melted chocolate on them. 🙂

  4. Haha! I see a slight space between the cookie and Luna’s tongue, so the evidence shows you could technically eat that cookie! They look too yummy to throw away, even if licked, lol!

    • Oh I did eat it, shamelessly! I didn’t care if she licked it or not, but I know my kids would have been like “Ew, it had Luna’s tongue on it – I’m not eating it!”
